UPDATED: Nasarawa CAN chairman freed

Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Nasarawa chapter , Bishop Joseph Masin, who was abducted by gunmen last Thursday at his residence in Lafia has been released.
His son, Pastor Sam Joseph, confirmed his release to TheNation on Sunday.
He said the cleric was reunited with the family around 1:48am their at Bukan Sidi residence in Lafia on Sunday.
He stated he had been taken for medical examination in an undisclosed hospital.

Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa state, Bola Longe, also confirmed the release of the cleric.
He denied any ransom was paid to secure the release of the chairman.
He explained that four suspects had been arrested in connection with the incident and would soon be charged to court once investigation was concluded.
The kidnappers demanded N20m ransom to release Masin.
